Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs adalah pak ekspansi resmi pertama untuk Zaman permainan real-time strategy of Empires III.  Ini diumumkan oleh Ensemble Studios dan Microsoft Game Studios pada tanggal 7 Maret 2006.  Versi demo dirilis 4 Oktober 2006.  Permainan penuh untuk PC dirilis pada tanggal 17 Oktober 2006 di Amerika Serikat. Pak ekspansi kemudian dibundel dengan permainan penuh Age of Empires III, yang disebut Age of Empires III Gold Edition pada tanggal 19 September 2006.  Versi Mac porting lebih dan dikembangkan oleh Games Destineer's MacSoft dan diterbitkan oleh MacSoft Games.  Permainan penuh untuk Mac dirilis pada 12 Juni 2007 di Amerika Serikat.  Selain itu, Sekarang diikuti dengan pak ekspansi kedua untuk game asli disebut Age of Empires III: The Dinasti Asia.
